A note to all of you from Grand Master Chow. Successful and positive training to all of you my loved ones.
Both Grand Master Chow and Grand Master Tallbear are real traditional Chinese Martial arts teachers. They both teach through love, not through screaming at students, or acting like the word love is something foreign from the teachings of Chinese Martial arts. When in fact, when you belong to a real Chinese Kung Fu System, you belong to a knew family. Of course you have your family through birth, and that will never change. But when joining a Chinese Kung Fu System, you are becoming involved in what is known as your Kung Fu Family. Every time we breath in, we breath in the sorrows of the world, every time we breath out, we breath out our love to the whole world. When first learning this, "Chi Kung" technique, it is taught like this. When the hands go up towards the heavens, they are taking in all of the goodness of the world, every time our hands go down, as we breath out, we breath out all of the bad things that happened that day, or last night, whether it was a fight with a loved one, sister, brother, Dad, or Mom, we can learn to control the way we feel, and the way we treat others and our selves, later as it was explained above, we learn how to pass out our love to others as we breath out. But as with everything, first you must help yourself, then and only then can you help others. Far to many people want to help others when they have not even begun to help themselves, tell me then, how can the blind lead the blind. I hope you see my point. Grand Master Chow's teaching's are an unbelievable journey through the Chinese Martial arts, a martial art that is so rare, it is hardly taught in China to this day. We learn how to control our anger, our fear, we learn to be brave, to be fearless, yet always cautious, we learn to be calm under the worst situations, most of all we learn to love one another to help one another and to always be honest, sincere, and loyal. Think about these last most important words, Honesty, Sincerity, and Loyalty. These three issues have been lost, lost through the rat race of modern commercialism, lost through the ideals of making that next dollar, even if it hurt others. We have lost so much through the modern mess that civilization has created. However all of these things that we have lost can be brought back through mediation, through the teachings of the Bible, from Buddhist scripture, and through the great philosophy of the Tao. Good luck to all of you, and please think about these last three words. Honesty, to be sincere, and to be loyal, to your family. Yes that also means your home family, your best friends, and your new family, Your Kung Fu Brothers and Sisters". There is so much about the Chinese Martial arts that has nothing to do with fighting, sparring, or butting heads. The Chinese martial arts also teach us how to act, how to present ourselves to others, how to treat people. For instance, there are many people who seem to grow up, and yet still at the age of forty they play head games, they manipulate people for their own gain, they manipulate their families always telling lies as to what the real issue is, always blaming others, instead of looking in a mirror. The Chinese martial arts can teach us so much of what many of us have lost. There are people that are in their forties and they cannot stop lying, no matter how much they try, they walk around talking to themselves trying to get their story straight, when they should be telling the truth. Most of us, loose this way of acting once we are away from high school, or when we were teenagers. Most everyone of us learned by the mistakes of the past, to not be disloyal, to be honest, and to always be sincere to others. Did you know that in the Bible, it says that a liar, will go to hell, as fast as someone who murders people. What do you think they are trying to tell us in this sentence. My take on this is no matter the sin, no matter what you do that is bad, it is wrong, whether murder, or stealing, or being a liar, it can all leave you with a bad karma at the end, just before your spirit leaves your body. Every evil thing you have done, all your life will come back and play out in your mind. It will flash like a movie in front of your minds eye. How do I know, I have been killed only eight times, roughly. I have been hit by lightening twice, and yes I know they say that lighting does not hit the same place twice, well it did. I have been in car accidents where I was thrown from the vehicle's. I was burned third degree burns to a third of my body, died three times in first two weeks of intensive care. I have been shot, stabbed, almost drowned saving someone from being drowned, and yes there is more, but I will leave it right there. I know what I am talking about when talking about death, and dying. From the time you were a little boy or girl, you will remember everything. I can honestly tell you that some of the things that I have done, make me shudder when I think about them. Even though I was a very young boy, when it comes into my mind, it is as if it was yesterday. When praying, I ask God for forgiveness, to keep me honest, to stay loyal to all my dear friends and family, to be sincere to all those that cross my path each and every day, always being as best I can to everyone. By doing this, we can only hope that others will see how we act, and start to act this way themselves. This is what we learn in some areas of philosophy, whether the Bible, Buddhist scripture, or Taoist teachings. It matters not where we learn these things, what matters is that we do learn them, and make sure that we always try to become better people daily. In my own belief, I do not believe that there is a Hell, but what I do believe is that their is a place we go if we have done wrong, and there is a place we go if we have done right. In many texts there are many levels to Heaven. God is in the highest of levels, and the better we do in life, the higher we will go to stand beside the hand of God. If by any chance we slip up, don't ever forget that God will forgive us and off we go again, but never ever take this for granted, and never ever take any of what I am saying above lightly. Last but not least, no one has to learn anything from the Bible, no one has to learn anything from Buddhist scripture, no one has to learn anything from Taoist teachings, or from the Koran. What I am saying, is we all should learn from one of these ancient wisdoms, as it can teach us how to live, how to treat others, and how to correct our own paths. " I HOPE YOU SEE MY POINT". Kung Fu is far more then learning punch and kick, in fact they say that learning the techniques is only ten percent of the teachings. There is art, but you must pursue this on your own, you must find what you are good at and learn to create things from your mind. Music is another area that can help the spirit. I truly hope this helped many of you to see the true face of what the Martial arts should have always been. Not what it has changed to a commercial trap that teaches only a punch, or a kick, or a self defense technique, with no philosophy at all, " Remember, how can the blind, teach the blind"..................
