Wing Block Technique Number Four
Attacker steps in to punch, sink weight, open hand block from his outside
Stepping forward to his outside foot, same time grabbing his wrist, and slamming your wing block into his elbow. When you grab his wrist, make sure you pull his wrist hard, before smashing into his elbow with your wing block. As he punches again with other fist. Come up from underneath, with a knife hand cutting block.
Right after you cut his nerves with knife hand, grab his wrist, his arm will be numb. Do not stop the motion from going forward. As he is punching towards you, that is the power that you use, not your own. Use your opponents power and you will be amazed, all you have to do is be a guide, make sure his arms go in the right direction. Again as he punches towards you with second punch. Knife hand from under, grab his wrist, pull upwards using his momentum from his punch, Now pull his arm really hard backwards as in the picture. If you ever practise this with your partner, do not fool around, these are dangerous, and can cause nerve damage, and or arm breaks, and or worse. Please listen to your teacher.
Be reminded that I put the techniques here for all the students of Ky Moo Kwan, that way when they learn a technique they can look it up here, go through it in their minds, copy the pictures for their own files. One of the most important reasons is to show people that there are techniques like this in the martial arts, it is not all inside block, high block, low block. In fact if you find that is all the teacher is teaching you and always says that he will teach you more after you practise harder, you get the next belt level and again he tells you the same. Please do not be gullible, you are not going to learn any more, because you are learning from a charlatan. Don't get me wrong, inside block, high block, low block are all very important, but they were never ever intended for combat, or real martial arts. What these types of blocks were for was to stretch the arm muscles, to stretch your tendons, and ligaments, and to also to align your bones in your arms and upper body. I remember one person telling me that he could find no use for reverse hook block and how it could never be used for fighting. All I could think of inside my head was Oh No, poor students that were taught by people with little or no knowledge. The reverse hook block is one of the best blocks to really stretch your forearms and wrist, the bone, ligament, veins, and tendons. When I lived with my Grand Master for those ten years, I could ask him any question I wanted to at any time, in fact he loved when I did ask questions because he always said there was no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid mistakes. Grand Master Chow taught above
