Warm up Number Two
Students that make it to this warm up, are those who are voted into the Sash system. Many of the techniques you will recognize here from the belt program. However there are changes with how you go about doing it with breathing and tension together. Other times we do it with breathing and a visualization of our breath going in and out, in and out, with nothing else on our minds except for the thought of the breath going deep down into the stomach. With this type of breathing, when you start, it is good to stand in front of a mirror, to watch your stomach falling and rising. You have to make sure that your chest stays exactly the same size all the way through the breath cycle. For instance, when we start, we make sure that our spines are straight, and our chests are sticking out as far as it will go, and then leave it in the position throughout the rest of the exercise. Breathing in, we make our stomachs become larger and larger, until our stomachs and chests are as far out as they will go, but remember when we start, our chests are already as far as it will go. This way you will only move your stomach area, down as far as the bladder. As the breath goes in and out, it will rub against your internal organs, and as it does this, it massages them ever so lightly. In fact when you start the form Iron body, this type of breathing and moving the stomach is very important. You should already know how to do this type of breathing before you start Iron body. Sifu Fiedler's Grand Master in Ying Yee, Grand Master Chow, told Sifu Fiedler that if someone was to try to do this without proper training, they could cause themselves cancer. If someone was to breath improperly, to force the breath in a wrong way, or not to breath at all holding in the breath while doing the hand motions it can cause serious side affects. Think about it this way. When you exercise your muscles, depending on how much you do that day, when you get up the next day, your muscles are sore. This is normal because they had a work out, and worked so hard that now they have to heal to recoup. However when they do finally heal, they will be stronger. The more we exercise this way, the stronger we will become. Did you know, that your internal organs will actually grow when doing this exercise, Iron Body. Did you know that in Yoga, and in Kung Fu, they have already had study groups, some that did, others that did not, do Iron body. Those people who did do Iron body for six months or Yoga, found that their internal organs actually grew larger. Not sizable like muscles, but all the same, they did grow larger. Now think about it, with larger muscles in our arms and legs all over the body, increases our external strength considerably. What type of strength do you think would come from doing Iron Body, and Iron Palm training. Yes I think you are finally starting to catch on, "Internal Strength". So to sum this up a bit, training ones muscles will create a strong body from head to toe, but training your internal organs, with breathing exercise, will actually create stronger internal strength. Think about it, and then act on it. Most people will read about something, and not act on it, but this is not you, you are very special because you are here to begin with. If you were not here, you would not give too hoots about what this is explaining. Because you are here, you are curious about what comes next, what is it that we are doing at our different levels of training. What are the benefits of training the martial arts, and why is it that it feels so good once you start to catch on. You know why, the martial arts has been hard wired into our bodies and minds because of the last hundred thousand years. We had to protect ourselves, we had to protect our families, food stores, and help our elderly. Even if you were born in Europe, or Africa, it mattered not, they all had their own form of martial arts, even though it might not be called that in some other area of the world. Every culture on this planet has had to protect them selves with elaborate armour, or various types of hand to hand, sword fighting, shooting arrows from a bow. With this said, we have covered protective armour for our own bodies, fighting hand to hand from close in, fighting a few feet from each other which the sword gives us, distance to defend our selves, and then the bow and arrow. A weapon that was used to defend oneself from a distance. Every single culture in the world developed amazing methods of combat and protection. However a few of these cultures took these methods and developed them into what they are in Asia, totally amazing.
Iron Body Form If someone teaches you iron body, it means that you must be a great student to have made it this far. But I have to tell you something that is far to important to leave it alone. Please do not get impatient, Point being once you start your iron body, you have to stick with it daily, and I mean not miss one day ever. If you stay the course, you do your iron body every single day for six months, amazing things will start to happen. You can actually start to feel your energies moving around your body, in a way not felt ever before. Also when doing your breathing properly, it will open up this small area below the bladder. When doing your iron body, you will actually one day feel a pop, this will open something that feels like a third lung, down below the belt. All the way down into the pelvic area. Once this opens up, your meditations, and breathing techniques, " Chi Kung", will start to develop in areas you have not ever felt in your life. Please do not give up, not in six months, not in one year. Some of you will not feel anything for nine months, others a year, and others in six months. That is the point, we are all different, and each of us will develop differently. To many people want instant results, they have no patience to develop all that which comes through hard work and time. Time is the enemy of those who cannot wait for some result that might or might not come. The mind plays strange tricks on us, as it seems some times our imagination can really play us. So please stay on course, it will only take three minutes a day, that is all, three minutes a day, like brushing teeth, or going to wash room, or eating breakfast, all things we have to do, so make time for iron body and meditation. I promise you results in areas you have never ever experienced in your life. What is more special is these areas of experience, will blow you away. Not because it is something you watch on TV, or read in a book. No this will come from you, right out of your own body, your own mind. Tell me, is this not what you would want, to be someone who does it, not one who watches it.
