A linage in the Chinese Martial arts is something very important, and actually very exciting to become a part of one. You have your name written down in stone basically, saved forever. Sifu Fiedler's name has been put on two lineages, one for the Ying Yee, and one for Tai Liu Chuan Fa. The Tai Liu Chuan Fa was most important to Sifu Fiedler as I am reading one of his diaries at this moment and that is something he writes about. He was so excited when they put his name on the linage chart for Tai Liu Chuan fa. But as he says in his notes, he worked his butt off for Sigung Tallbear. He looks back at how hard he worked at Tai Liu, wanting so bad to have Sigung Tallbear proud of him. Every time he made it to a new level, Sigung Tallbear would do something so incredibly nice for Sifu Fiedler.

For instance, one such time was when Sifu Fiedler made it to Boxer Black. The Boxer black level is I believe the first level of a teaching degree in Tai Liu. When Sifu Fiedler made it to this level, Sigung Tallbear had a ceremony for Sifu Fiedler, giving him a Ring with the Tai Liu Chuan Fa logo on it, which is also used as a stamp for diploma's. Sigung Tallbear told Sifu Fiedler that there were only twenty eight rings given to all the heads of every school around the world, and now Sifu Fiedler was awarded one with his degree, the Boxer Black.  Sifu Fiedler is talking about the weight of the ring, how it felt on his hand and how great it looked. In many of his earlier notes he was not as happy yet. In fact he talks about being upset a lot. The reason for this was he felt like he was not doing as well as he should have been. For Sifu Fiedler starting Tai Liu Chuan fa was very hard, it seemed that no matter what type of technique, basic, intermediate, or advanced, it was all very hard for him. However just like when Sifu Fiedler talks about juggling. There are people who try to learn how to juggle, and before they learn how to do it, they stop, they find it to hard and give up. Then there is another type of person, he keeps on trying no matter how many times he fails, no matter how long it takes, he tries harder, and harder, until the day comes when he can do the technique seamlessly in one swift motion. Once Sifu Fiedler started to learn to do the techniques and motions properly, that was all it took and he started to fly with it. There are some who find it hard to do Tai Chi, but again all we can say is do not give up, keep on trying and we promise that you will be able to learn it in time, never give up on anything, you can do it, you can do anything you put your mind too. Yes I am talking to you!

Grand Master Tallbear with Son that lived in Japan.

Sifu Fiedler became a friend of GM Tallbear's son from Japan. He really liked him dearly, one day while talking to Sigung Tallbear, Sigung Tallbear told Sifu Fiedler that his son in Japan died in the Kobe Earthquakes. Sifu Fiedler was devastated by the news.

Here Sifu FIedler is training with Sifu Charles Croy. Since Charles Croy was four years of age he trained with Sifu Fiedler. They would do the Tai Liu over and over again when they trained together all those years ago. When Sifu Charles Croy went to University, on one hand Sifu Fiedler was so proud of Charles going to University, on the other hand, he was very sad to see one of the best students he had ever trained walk away into the sun set. A few years after Charles was gone, Sifu Fiedler retired.

I believe this is a man called Seth, and if this is true, Seth died in a car accident, again terrible news to all of us who used to talk to him on the web site that we have on MSN.
