Hair Grab escape
Grabs you by the hair, you sink your weight, same time take your right hand and arm and put it on top of both his hands, hold his hands tight to your head, this way he can not block any of your attacks.
Make sure when you grab his hands, you grab tight, once you know you have both his hands tight, punch up in between his arms, under his chin, into his neck. Remember if you do this properly, her will not be able to block your offensive defense.
Sleeper escape
Here is another one that you have to be careful of, if someone puts you in this hold, and you do nothing, you will be sleeping in a very fast time. Right away you have to grab your attacker by the nerves on his forearm, slide your leg around behind your attack and kneel down, as you pull his arm over also, this will make him fly over your shoulder. When your attacker hits the ground, is when you break his arm. However you do not have to break his arm, but it is good to have the choice.
Defense Against Push #1
Attacker steps towards you with a heavy push, step back, blocking one arm high, the other low, the block that went low, now slides up the arm of your attacker, and slams him in the side of the neck.
After slamming your elbow into his neck, as he starts to fly backwards, help him out with a knife hand to the other side of neck, quickly turning into a groin or bladder strike.
Sifu Krys van Hoof started her training when she was in grade four. She started in her gym class, when Sifu Fiedler was asked by the school to come in and teach during the afternoon gym class for grade four and five. They loved it so much that they kept the classes going year after year. We were the first martial arts school to be allowed to teach during school hours, and the reason for this is we were very serious about children fighting out in the school yard. We made a deal with the children, the first time that anyone starts a fight during school hours is the student that will stop all of the kung fu classes, and not one fight was reported during our time at that school. The classes went very well, even after Sifu Fiedler had to stop teaching, Sifu Larry Klentz kept the classes going for a few more years until he became to busy. However Sifu Krys van Hoof liked the classes so much, she asked her parents if she could join the normal classes that were held downtown in Victoria Hall. She worked her way through the belts and Sash levels like no other girl before, or after. Yes we have had some excellent women in our classes, but not one reached the level of Sifu Krys van Hoof. She is now a second degree black belt, and has been teaching her own classes in Toronto off and on. There were times when a room would be open at the university where she attended, and other times there were no rooms to have classes, but every time she was able to get room, she did hold classes. Not only that, but the students that she taught were of an absolute amazing skill and ability. Sifu Krys van Hoof, not only became a good student of the martial arts, she became a very good teacher, something that not every one can do. Sure everyone can try to teach, and many people do. But not many are very good teachers at all, only the few can teach the way a teacher should teach. The reason for this is that to many people want to teach, but should never have been able to because they do not want to put in the time. Sifu van Hoof has put in that time, and she is still putting in that time. She is one of the few who will always be true not only to herself, but her students. She is not teaching at this time, but hopes to start another class in the near future, if you want to learn from her and you live in the Toronto area, then give us your email address with a small note, and we will get the message to her. She can teach Tai Liu Chuan Fa, " Southern Eagle and Mantis", she can teach Ying Yee, and she can teach Hung Kuen for the basics. Thank you very much for all the years, Sifu Krys van Hoof, thanks from all of us who taught you, who learned with you, and who always hope to see you again. From all the students in Ky Moo Kwan Pembroke Sifu Dee
Remember you cannot learn these techniques from this type of format, what you can learn is that it is possible for you to go out and find a good school to learn these type of techniques and many more. However if you like martial sports, some of those styles do not have self defense techniques kept inside the style. They found it was of no use for sports. and took it out. Remember also that the Chinese martial arts are the grand father of all martial arts, and in all Kung Fu styles or Systems, we have not only punching and kicking techniques, we have grappling, we have throws and defense against throws. As you can see above in the last couple of self defense techniques you are learning how to defend against grappling. Just as in the technique above however, it shows you a mistake you can make if you grapple with little knowledge. If you grapple using two hands in one spot, you can get yourself in trouble, there are many of these lessons in all of our self defense techniques.
Much more to come
