Long Bridge, or Long Range, or Long Length, all the same thing

Punch comes in, Sifu Gallant grabs wrist of attacker, and slams a inverted backhand into Sifu Dee's temple, and across the face in one motion.

As you can see the motion did not end until it was all the way to Sifu Gallants other wrist, sliding down Sifu Dee's arm, now using his attackers arm again, Sifu Gallant uses Sifu Dee's arm as a track to slide his arm into Sifu Dee's neck.

Now we have the same technique except they changed position, and changed the technique slightly because of one being tall and the other is short, can you notice what was accomplished to have a much better result for Sifu Dee.

This time it is Sifu Dee using Sifu Gallants arm as a track to go up his arm into the neck, however Sifu Dee is cutting up Sifu Gallants arm on a slightly different direction, still up, but up and into the neck.

The difference is the result in where your opponent flies. With long range techniques it is totally amazing the outcomes of your attacks and defense

Long Technique number four

This is one of those techniques that block and strike at the very same time. Step forward into arrow stance, same time soft form high block, and upper cut punch. Step forward with back foot stepping to front, now using other soft form high block with other punch attacking.

Long Swinging double round house technique

Long length technique from long form. Winding up into open x stance, with two long length strikes, as soon as you hit the furthest you can twist in your stance, you start to unwind, and as you unwind you use your double long swinging attacks again. Very good technique when you have people beside, behind, in front and to the side, excellent technique for anyone who loves to use long length. Some students are more well suited to long length techniques, others are more for short. Every one has a special method to use. What a godo kung fu teacher will do is find which type of movement is good for you specially.
