Buddhist Temple

[Under Construction]

Lower Algonquin

Sifu Fiedler and Buddhist Monk

We went to Sifu Dee's cottage, he told us that there was a Temple close by, we were all pleasantly surprised to find that it was one of four temples in the world of this size. They have statues that are over one hundred feet in height, and length, it was one of the most beautiful Temples I have ever seen. In fact Sifu Fiedler said that he had traveled extensively when he was younger, all up and down the west coast of Canada and the United States, and not once did he see one as large or nice as this one.

In every room, there was the sweet smell of incense burning, and sounds of people going through their prayers.

This is one of the side views of the Temple we went too.

I know it looks small in a sense like this, but when inside, it is huge. The ceilings are very high, the smell of incense permeates the air, and a steady hum of monks going through their meditations is heard.

Buddhist Statues

Statue is around thirty feet in height, however there are many that are one hundred feet height, and lying down. There are paths everywhere leading up the mountain from the Temple, each and every statue you come too, is a place to do another meditation. By the time you are finished with sitting at each station, four hours have gone by. There are at least forty statues that are completely amazing to see.

Now here is a very good picture to see exactly how large these statues are. I am so fortunate that I thought to take a picture when Dee was standing beside, had I not, no one would have believed how large these things really are. They are completely out of this world. To be very honest, there are only four temples of this size in the world, two are in Asia, two are in North America, one in California, the other in Eastern Canada.

Much more to come soon
