Thought

What good is it for man or woman to go through life and never understand the true power of the mind or body.

Make sure that all self defense is at a very high level of training, as after this belt level you will be in the brown belt. In brown belt you have to maintain all of your training from White to Black. To keep up your belt levels you should be teaching at least two classes a week in different belt levels, " if you can teach something, it is a good sign that you know it" . Also you should besides the teaching two classes a week have two classes of instruction a week. If you have at this point in your training been excepted into the inner circle system, then you have also your sash levels to train, and you should be doing this every morning before you go to work. Sash in the mornings, and belt levels in the evenings. The reason for this is the Sash levels have more meditation motion, with many soft style movements. Some can be in slow motion, others are in soft style rapid fire technique. I know that this is much to do, but if you really love the arts, you should look at it the same as brushing your teeth, or having breakfast, or taking a bath, these things you make time for in a day, and these are things that you have to do to maintain your life, you will find that once you start to train more every day, that you will be doing as much as you can every day. Once you get to the level where you have a program that you do every morning and a different program every night, then you will start to understand the martial arts much better. Plus you will see that it will give you energy, give you life, and it will give a more meaningful purpose on this earth.

Bell Block         Wing Block

Sifu Gallant, steps in to punch Sifu Dee, Sifu Dee grabs Sifu Gallants arm and does a wing block. Now what does the wing block look like to you. Yes it looks like a bell block. Stand with your hands on your waist, how twist from side to side, you look like a bell. That is why a bell block is called a bell block. However using your arm like a wing, is having it in the shape of a bell block, but your hand is not on your waste any longer, it is out a little further. Plus you twist your hand to create more power in the elbow joint.
