Sifu Klentz, Sihing Dee

Sifu Klentz and Sihing Dee
Sihing Dee throws out a knife hand, Sifu Klentz blocks and counters, every motion that Sihing Dee sees Sifu Larry make, and the more he sees these techniques done to him over and over again. He will start to be able to do these same techniques to anyone under Sihing Dee's rank. If Sihing Dee tried to make the same technique work on his instructors it would not work as well as if Sihing Dee did it on students at lower level then he. Reason for this is experience.

Moving forward without a block and attack, Larry teaches Sihing Dee to block and attack at same time with palm attack to head or face.

Sifu Klentz teaching Sihing Dee to move in circles, and to attack in angles. Angular attack is much harder to block then plain old frontal, or completely sideways. Angular attack is much more superior to the others, the reason for this is being on an angle can blind you to in coming attacks.
Sifu Klentz teaching Sihing Dee how to move
Sifu Klentz teaching Sihing Dee. We all remember back to this time when I could not even spar very well. But I do have to say had I not been put into that black belt class when I was a green belt, I would not have found the skill I was looking for. Sure I was poked, prodded, and picked on, and hit a little bit to hard some of the time, and yes I went home with bruises every night. I have to say though, not once did I have a broken bone, or sprain. I have never ever hurt myself in Kung Fu, and when Sifu Fiedler was teaching, he said that in twenty five years of teaching, he never had one student with a bad injury. Not once. Sifu Dee even says that it bothered him a bit when they would tease him, or when they would hit a little bit to hard when sparring with me, of course I was a little bit angry, but never lost my cool and was always respectful to all of my teachers in every class.

Sifu Klentz waits for the unsuspecting Sifu Dee, remember Sifu Dee had only trained for a very short amount of time compared to Sifu Klentz. Sifu Klentz was a black belt here, and Sifu Dee was only a green belt, these pictures were more from around the 2000

Sihing Jean Mathieu

Sihing Sutton and Sihing Mathieu
Sihing Sutton, Sihing Mathieu, trained hard
together since they started, and the results show in flying colors.
Both these two came from other schools as black belts. Both have struggled through the belt system, then they were voted into the inner circle club, not only for their great skill in kicking, punching, and blocking, but also because of the excellent respect they had for all of the teachers helping them, not only that but the students too. They gave respect when they bowed going out the door. Sihing Sutton and Sihing Mathieu both came from other clubs as black belts, both have been training with us for years and now have black belts with us. Their first rank with us was black belt in Hung Kuen. This is a very broad course, that teaches just about every aspect of the Chinese martial arts, from throws, to grappling, punching, blocking, kicking, and doing two man techniques. They also have been trained in breaking, weapons use, and in Chi Kung.

Sihing Chris
Sihing Chris, for the longest time trained side by side with Sifu Dee, he was on fire for Kung Fu. One day he did not come to class, a day turned into a week, week into a month, and all of a sudden he came in to tell us he was married and that is why he could not come to class. He is coming to class now, however more off then on, but we know he will be back, he was biten by the kung fu bug, a bug so powerful that once bitten you have a hard time turning your back on the skill you have developed over the years. However some decide not to come back, not because they do not want too, because they are to busy, with work, maybe the hours changed, maybe some have night shift, or just maybe they have a baby, and as we all know, that takes time and not so much sleep for the first half a year. But life is life, and we choose which path we take, our teachers can only point us in the direction he sees fit for us, it is up to us to walk that path.

Sihing Garry Hartlin
At this time in Sihing Hartlin's training, he is one fire, he has rose to the height of teachers helper, very fast. He is serious about his training and loves the way it has helped him with balance, with poise and power. Sihing Hartlin started training one day after Sifu Dee brought him to class. Sihing Hartlin was allowed to go into the inner circle class faster then most and because of that training he was one of the only students to learn Sum yi. He loved that form, and did it with all of the top instructors in the class when ever he would ask them, and ask them he did, over and over again. Even though Sum yi is a very internal Taoist art, it is so hard on the legs that stepping through the form once makes it hard to walk for a few minutes after the form, it really gives the legs an amazing workout, plus this form teaches stake stance, and also teaches the student to focus power through the flight feathers that we all have in our hands, with our index fingers shaped like a birds wing, the flight feathers are dangerous weapons for a goose or crane. One thing to mention about Sihing Hartlin, is he has to go to work at Mount Everest Base Camp, and has done it year after year, he leaves for four or five months and when he comes back, it is completely not the Garry that left us. With the passions that Garry has inside of his own heart, he is going to make it a long way, not only with friends, and students and his marriage, but anything that man touches turns into something great.

Sihing Garry Hartlin, and Sifu Dee
Here Sihing Hartlin just made it to Gold Sash, as soon as he was voted into the inner circle, the first thing that Sifu Dee taught Sihing Garry Hartlin was how to use a spear against sword and visa versa. They had a riot, there were a few techniques that came very close, and that was when we said it's a rap. Good day see you all tomorrow. Thank you very much.
Sihing Evan Burgess

Sihing Evan Burgess
Evan Started in 2003, he started to train under the wing of Sifu Dee, Sihing Garry Hartlin helped him, and Sifu Larry Klentz. After around six months he asked Sifu Dee if he could come and train with him any time he was free. Sifu Dee at that time, was not married, or did not have any children, he had much more time back then, and because Sihing Evan was always so serious and always did everything he was asked to do. You see most students will not do what you ask of them. What do we ask? well for one thing is to start a Martial arts diary, day one, or lesson one, you write down everything you learned the first day, because you wrote it, in your own words, stick figures or what ever way allows you to learn fast. Sihing Evan always called Sifu Dee, "Sifu" with full respect always. Sihing Evan also bowed at the door, bowed when going in, bowed when going out. He gave respect to all the teachers not just Sifu Dee, and he trained his heart out since he started. Now it is the year 2009, and we are going over the whole web site to make it new this year. We have changed it a lot over the years so that it would not be boring, but in the last few years, we have not had the time to work on the site, so it is with pleasure to start it over again. Thanks to all of you and hope to see you all back again.
