The Year 2000 The Year 2000 was the year we were asked to start a class in Club 2000, this training club for weight lifters, golfers, bow and arrow practitioners, and a number of other activities. It was a great club, it was the year that Sifu Dee needed his own club to go to teach on his own. It was the year 2000, and Sifu Dee had just passed his black belt. He was truly amazing to go through the belts as he had. Not to many people take the martial arts as he has. But again always remember every one wants to do the martial arts their own way. What I mean by this is some want to do it has a hobby. Some would prefer to learn some self defense and get into shape. Others want to make the martial arts a way of life, and that is where traditional martial arts will fit that person like a glove. Any true kung fu master can teach a class for twenty years every day and not teach the same thing ever. His Sihing's will make the students go over what they have already been taught, but the master will always teach something new to see who can memorize techniques. Once a master finds students that memorise the best, he will use them as his encyclopaedia's of motion. When ever one of the Sihing's forgets one of their techniques they would then go to one of the students that has memorised everything taught. Back to Sifu Dee, club 2000 was his very first club to teach on his own. Of course everyone came to help him as in the picture below. We see Master Jame's and Sifu Gallant, Sifu van Hoof, Sifu Klentz, Sifu Char, and others. Sifu Dee had all of these people help him start the classes, after around one month, every one left and he taught this class for years. This was the very first club for Sifu Dee to open and start on his own. And he loved it once bitten by the teaching bug, he loved to teach. Once Sifu Dee started to teach the sky was the limit, not only that but this is when he started to realise that he had a long way to go to be satisfied in his own techniques and skill level. In fact the only way that an instructor knows he or she really knows their kung fu is when they can teach it. It takes one thing to know the technique, but to teach it, that is very difficult indeed in the beginning. Students learn differently, when you get through to one student, it does not mean you got through to them all. But when you do finally get through to all of them, you start to get a feeling you never felt before, you feel great about yourself knowing you are passing on a martial art that is going to help who ever it is that you are teaching, knowing you might be saving their lives one day. And knowing for teens and children, the more kung fu they do, the better they do in school. This is fact we seen since starting our lesson and teaching not only children but adults too.
First time we were asked to go to Club 2000 to teach a class, it was a type of crash course which we taught them that first night was nothing more then an introduction into the martial arts. It would not help anyone in the least to learn one day. What it would do is give someone an idea of how the classes are run, and if they would like it. Needless to say every one loved it, and Sifu Dee had twenty students right from the beginning.
Shelly in front, with blond hair, she was the owner of Club 2000. This picture with classes already started full time at club 2000 Shelley also became Sifu Dee's first ever black belt, he is now with many black belt students, some are higher then black, none more then third degree.
Shelly Price Owner of Club 2000 Shelly turned out to be a one of a kind kicker. So far we have had three women with amazing kicks. Shelly started to take private lessons with Sifu Dee, with in a few months, the difference in Shelly's technique, speed, and power was the difference between night and day, especially when you looked at the group lesson students and the private lesson students. You see a private lesson student can learn at his or her own speed. When in a group lesson, you learn at the slowest level, meaning you learn at the speed of the slowest learning student. Which can become very boring for students who can learn ten times faster but they do not have a chance because they are in a school that teaches thirty students in one class with one instructor, and usually martial sports.
Power of Instep Power of the instep, one of the most important exercises from when every one starts. If you keep practising this way, and keep up your power of the insteps twice a day. You would not believe how much better your kicks will be when you start your flying kicks at blue belt in Hung Kuen.
Power instep two Here is a better picture of Power of the Instep with everyone off of the ground.
Shelly Price Sifu Dee's First Black Belt Shelly Price turned into Sifu Dee's first black belt student. This was fantastic, Sifu Dee did such a wonderful job, said Sifu Klentz, and Sifu van Hoof, they could not believe the skill with Shelly and a few other students that Sifu Dee started on his own. And these students with out any help at all.

Sifu Dee using throwing technique from Tai Chi. First time Sifu Dee was able to do this technique it had a few flaws like leaning to far forwards, but that was all cleaned up in the next couple of weeks, now he does it and not only does the student fly further, he also has much more power in reserve. When technique is done properly it is done with out any power of your own. Always using your opponents power as with the picture above, the harder your opponent kicks towards you, the further they fly. In this picture Sifu Dee lets himself go over a certain point that could have been dangerous in a real situation, all someone has to do is grab onto Sifu Dee's arm, and he would have fallen forwards. Or from behind if Sifu Dee was leaning that far forward at the end of his technique rather than his elbow being over his knee and not farther. Remember the rules of Luk Hup, the three internal harmonies, and the three external harmonies. Right at this time because we are answering a question, we only need to hear about the three external harmonies. The three external harmonies are, Foot and Hand working in harmony, and balance together, Shoulder and Hip working in harmony with each other with balance, and Elbow and knee the same as hand and foot and shoulder and hips. To have a perfect stance, with perfect balance we learn to create an amazing amount of power from the most smallest looking strikes. Learning how to hit someone front one inch away, and it causes more damage then what we would call a normal basic punch or strike, We also learn to put our palms on our attacker and hitting without pulling back our hand first, how do you think we could do that.
