Sifu Fiedler at Victoria Hall
Victoria Hall Kung Fu Club Back in 1990, Sifu Fiedler opened up the Victoria Hall Kung Fu Studio for Sifu Larry Klentz, Sifu Fiedler was far to busy teaching a senior citizens class, a women's self defense class, a children's kung fu class in their gym time during school hours in Highveiw public school. Sifu Fiedler also taught at Algonquin Collage, and also taught a small class of police officers. These classes added up to twenty hours of teaching a month, he did these classes for free, as a community service. At the time Sifu Fiedler was trying so hard to allow people to understand what true martial arts was, not what people seen on TV, or in the media, it seems that most people that hear about Kung Fu think about punching and kicking at each other, and the fact remains that it is so much more then what most people could dream. Kung Fu will help every type of person, the young, the old, and everyone in between. Sifu Fiedler wanted to show people how useful it was to learn even the basics of how to stay safe. Whether that meant save on the streets, or safe in your house, or safe while driving. It could mean learning about date rape for young adults getting ready to go to university. In our area, there are many young people that have never lived in cities in their lives. They need someone to teach these things before they go to university. Most of these classes had to stop after Sifu Fiedler had his accident. These classes had to stop because all of the top students were professionals in their own right, they were to busy in their own professions, and to busy with family life. The time they put into their own training was all the time they had. Years have gone by since Sifu Fiedler had to stop training. However Sifu James Croy, Sifu Larry Klentz, Sifu Dee have all done a marvellous job of teaching the classes that they can. Sifu Larry Klentz taught the children at Highveiw for years, until he had too had to stop. Sifu James Croy taught at Opeongo High School for years and years, and taught young adults all of the fine points that Sifu Fiedler found so important. And Sifu Dee has been teaching a small group excellent students for years also under the direct wing of Sifu Croy.

Sifu Croy with his students at Opeongo High school Sifu James Croy trained students after school at his work place. He was the science teacher at Opeongo for years. in around 1990, he started classes at Opeongo High and ran it for as long as the day he retired. All of the young adults that got to know Sifu James Croy gave him the respect that he gave them. He always had time for his kids, and had anyone watched him teach, you would have seen exactly what type of teacher he was. The one thing that I know for sure, is every single one of these young adults that went to university, went prepared.
Class just beginning Like any class that is just beginning all the students feel awkward, and with in a few months everyone will be doing fine with what they learn.
Sifu Croy taught basic kicks and punching techniques to the young adults of Opeongo High
He taught them excellent work outs
From stretching to leg work, stomach exercise, and push ups.
Giving them confidence Girls and Guys against each other so that the Girls would feel what it is like to be attacked or grabbed by a Guy
Trapping hands When someone grabs you by the collar, trap their hands, quickly double knife hand to their throat.
Master Croy started at the beginning of the Nineties. He started with many other clubs before finding the Pembroke Kung Fu Club, or Ky Moo Kwan, either way he found this system of Kung Fu and fell in love with it right away. He also brought his children with him. He was the very first family to all make it to black belt. These were not commercial black belts given to children either. Sifu Charles Croy started when he was four yrs of age, Martine started at Six, and Vanessa Eight. By the time these children were around thirteen, eleven, and nine, they knew all of their black belt requirement. They knew that a true martial arts school does not give black belts to children. What was most astounding with these great students is that they never complained once, nor did they offer to pay a large sum of money for their children to buy their black belts. Without a peep, they kept on training hard, and by the time they were Eighteen, Sixteen, and fourteen, they were all ranked to black belt together. All three had knowledge to around third degree black belt at that time also, but by the time they received black belts, they already had to start getting ready for their university, I lost one every two years. Sifu Fiedler on one hand was so sad to see them go, on the other hand, he knew that all three children were going on to greatness. The Croy family was a major part of the Pembroke Kung Fu schools during the nineties.

Sifu Krys van Hoof, an amazing student Sifu van Hoof, started her Chinese Martial arts when she was in Grade school. The school was having Kung Fu classes for the Grade four and five gym classes. Many of the students that started to do well in the class at their school, asked their parents if they could go to the Kung Fu school downtown, when the school was teaching out of Victoria Hall.
Sifu Klentz Sifu Klentz did not miss one class for his first ten years. And that was when Sifu Fiedler was still teaching twenty classes a week in Pembroke, all community service. These classes were being taught at Victoria Hall for Senior Citizens, teaching meditation and Tai Chi. Teaching a private women's group self defense techniques taught to Sifu Fiedler by Grand Master Tallbear himself. This was a professional women's martial arts course that Grand Master Tallbear taught in Vegas. Sifu Fiedler taught the exact same way as he was taught by Grand Master Tallbear. You can not change perfection, besides as Sifu Fiedler says in his notes, how dare anyone of us change a thing, when these old world masters knew the wisdom of the ancients. Sifu Klentz above helped teach many of those classes. In fact after Sifu Fiedler's accident, Sifu Klentz took over the classes at Highveiw public school.
